Dear Springview Academy Families,
I share with you the attached new Springview Academy tuition rates, tuition agreement, and fall registration information.
Each year, when we review our costs to provide services, the cost of living, inflation, general economic health, and employment factors are all considered when making an increase. One of our biggest administrative challenges is to look for ways to manage our costs and deliver the exceptional child care you expect, and your children deserve. Due to our community's needs, we have managed to continue to offer services for extended hours; meanwhile, other providers in our area have either closed or significantly reduced operating hours due to staff shortages.
Here is what we think is important you know:
- We are still the most affordable Montessori program in the area.
- The minimum wage in Florida will soon be increasing from $11.00 to $12.00 an hour and will increase to $15.00 an hour by the year 2026; this dramatically impacts our wage structure, along with employee benefits, which account for more than 65% of our expenses.
- There is a shrinking pool of experienced childcare workers, and we know that offering competitive benefits & wages is vital in retaining staff, many of which have been with the center for decades. We offer a generous benefits package for Springview Montessori Academy staff, such as ample paid time off, holiday paid time off, paid training and credentialing, free tuition for children of staff, daily meals, 401K, and more. We exceed all state and national standards for professional development and offer our team year-round training to ensure that we adopt the most recent research and practices in early childhood education.
- The supply chain issue has increased the prices of all materials and supplies needed to operate a high-quality and safe childcare center. The costs of classroom, office, and cleaning supplies have increased an average of 20%.
- With all the above information in mind, we will be instituting tuition prices to meet the rising minimum wage requirements, retention of staff, annual staff wage increases, cost of living increases, program improvements, and current supply expenses.
The new rates will become effective for new and existing families on August 21, 2023.
All of our classes currently have a waitlist and there is an extremely high demand for Springview Montessori Academy. There are currently no open spots at our center and our waiting list is also at capacity. Completing and paying for the registration fee will hold your spot for the following school year.
Please complete the form, select your preferred payment plan, and return it via email to [email protected] at your earliest convenience.
We thank you for entrusting your children and for your continued support of the program and our teachers, who work hard to make a difference in your children's lives.
Sincerely,
The Administration Team
